I know - you don't know who I am or what a Braintrickle is.
or why I would end my first sentence in my first blog entry with a preposition.
This blog is my perspective on how marketing is changing - and how we're setting up a company to back that up (more on that later) but first ...
A braintrickle is what happens when a certain CMO I know says he wants to brainstorm. It doesn't usually storm, or rumble with thunder or pop with lightning; it usually is just a well-worn path down a familiar lane that is barely damp from the drizzle of ideas - there's no dramatic clash of hot and cold air masses ... well, you get the idea.
In his case, its mental lacking, but in most marketers' case, its because there is a lot of noise and darkness (like after a hurricane) about online marketing - a ton of ad impressions but not a lot of value for the money because its blended across a LOT of faceless customers.
So that's why I want to start a new company - because I want to help find your best customers in that noise and darkness. In some cases, when we find them, we'll sell them something but in other cases, we'll just be showing you (marketer) what they are saying about you and about your brand and how little control you really have over that.
