When I was growing up, I lived next to the Monkey Farm. Monkey Farm was colloquial for Yerkes Laboratory for Primate Biology - and I think it was pretty famous in its day for monkey research. By "in its day", I mean way before I was born. By the time I was three, it was pretty run-down.
My mom had four kids under the age of 8. The Monkey Farm being old and deserted didn't stop her from telling us that she was moving next door to the Monkey Farm. At the time, I supposed it was because our house was nuts. However, I'd heard that some of the primates raised at the laboratory were sent to outer space on rockets before humans were so maybe it was because my mom always wanted to travel more than she did.
The above was meant to get your attention - just like you would like to get your customer's attention; which is what my supposedly new company is supposedly supposed to be helping you do. And the tie-in to this blog? Well, you are actually part of a great experiment - just by visiting this site. Our goal to understand how to find passionate customers online in the midst of all the ad impressions thrown at them. We are applying some of our theories via technology on this blog. There's much more to come - just stay tuned.
In retrospect, my mom said "I'm going to the Funny Farm" when she meant us kids were driving her crazy so its more likely her expressed desire to move in with the monkeys at the farm reflected her desire to see the world. Literally, the entire world.
